ABOUT US:
ABOUT US:
Hardin Penworks is a US veteran owned and operated small business based in the heart of our nation’s capital. We began making shadow boxes as a hobby, mostly for separating & retiring military members. We’ve made several items over the years, but, over time, this evolved into a passion and love for the timeless art of custom pen making.
We put a lot of effort into searching the world for fine and interesting materials to create pens with stories that last a lifetime. It starts with a unique idea, and becomes a product (or work of art) you can use every day. The bottom line: a good pen never goes out of style, so we work hard to ensure our pens stand up to the test of time.

THE PROCESS:
THE PROCESS:
Where inspiration meets motivation – We want our pens to be truly unique works of art, so we spend many hours thinking up and brainstorming ideas and designs for our pens, making sure not to overlook any details of the design process – because for us, not just any old pen will do. We believe It should be this way for our customers too.
Where planning meets execution – When it comes to our pens, only the finest materials will do. We put a lot of effort into searching out and utilizing fine, rare, historic, and truly unique materials for our pens. Our customers deserve not only a pen that writes well, but, a pen that is crafted with high-quality, beautiful materials. This is what helps set us apart.
Where skill meets precision – It’s a delicate blend of time, skill, and precision that go into making each one of our handcrafted pens. We spend hours in the shop working and crafting to ensure our pens are built and developed with precision and hold up to the highest standards – because, we believe that a good pen should last you a lifetime.
Where the rubber meets the road – Before they are ready for sale, each one of our handmade pens goes through a rigorous testing process to ensure that it can hold up to stressful conditions and circumstances while retaining it’s ability to remain reliable for years to come. A good pen never goes out of style, so it should always be reliable and functional.
