Once fired, .50 BMG bullets are converted into Parker® style ball point pens. Our BMG .50 pens are real bullet cartridges from .50 Cal BMG bullets. These cartridges were acquired from a recent opportunity to fire a .50 BMG machine gun. These cartridges were cleaned and polished to a bright brass shine with SimiChrome Polish, and inserts were made by hand to create our .50 BMG bullet pens. The brass will patina with age and exposure, but the brass can easily be polished back to its original bright and shiny brass with more SimiChrome Polish or Brasso Metal Polish.
The .50 Browning Machine Gun (.50 BMG) or 12.7×99mm NATO is a cartridge developed for the Browning .50 caliber machine gun in the late 1910s. Entering service officially in 1921, the round is based on a greatly scaled-up .30-06 cartridge. The .50 BMG cartridge is also used in long-range target and sniper rifles, as well as other .50 caliber machine guns.
A constant stock of all variants is not always available. We will make these to order as required if stock is not available. A two week turn around may be required for the manufacture of your desired configuration.
